Winters Suck

Loathe as I am to admit it, I think that Jeff Foxworthy might have been right about Ohio’s seasons of the year. He said that it’s either Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Construction.

As much as I do love Ohio (and have no real plans on leaving it), I freely admit that I hate the winters here. Yes, I know it’s not as cold as Wisconsin or Minnesota get. And yes, I know that I should be used to it. But to hell with that. After about a week now of subzero temperatures courtesy of the wind chill, it can’t turn summer quickly enough. Thankfully, however, to help indulge in the general lethargy that sets in this time of year, a certain someone that I know and love (I won’t say her name, but it rhymes with Wecky) got me absolutely hooked on Civilization III. Ironic in a way, especially considering that I used to tease her about playing Civ IV all the time. So if it’s karma, I’ll admit it: I totally deserved it.

Hello Joe,

I don't like the cold, either. It's 2 degrees out here, and my dog came in from her potty break this morning limping. Here feet were frozen, poor thing!

February 16, your birthday. Have a great one.

Maria
